My journey began in 2017, when I started crafting products in my kitchen to soothe my psoriasis. But it wasn't until I faced two battles with breast cancer in 2021 and 2022 that the true meaning of Sanara came to light.
It was through monthly breast exam rituals using my Chilean Rosehip Seed Body Oil that I began cultivating my own body awareness, so when mammo and ultrasound both indicated benign findings, it was my intuition and self-advocacy that I insisted on a biopsy.

My personal journey highlighted the importance of body awareness, intuition, and self- advocacy when I was diagnosed with Stage 0 Ductal Invasive Carcinoma at the age of 39, with no family history.
About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer. These occur due to genetic mutations that happen as a result of the aging process and life in general, rather than inherited mutations.
